Foraged Flavours: From Wild Greens to Plate
Step into a full-day, hands-on cooking workshop at Mangaroa Farms, just 40 minutes from Wellington. Perfect for those who’ve attended Wild Botanica’s Foraging Workshops, this is the next step: taking your wild plant knowledge into the kitchen.
You’ll explore seasonal edible wild greens, learning to identify them, discover their properties, and turn your foraged finds into simple, delicious creations. In the farm’s fully equipped kitchen, you’ll make a range of hands-on preparations: fresh wild green spreads, infused butters, vibrant salads, and pickled or preserved treats, all designed to showcase the flavours of the season.
During the day, we’ll enjoy a shared wild feast together, tasting the seasonal dishes you’ve prepared in a relaxed, beautiful farm setting. This workshop is interactive, practical, and sensory, a chance to deepen your foraging skills, connect with nature, and celebrate the flavours of the wild. All ingredients, tools, and guidance are provided, so you can fully immerse yourself in the experience.
